Social Services Coordinator
Vinson Hall Retirement Community (VHRC), a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community, located in beautiful McLean, VA is currently seeking an energetic team player to join our team as a Social Services Coordinator.

Position Requirements:
- License in Social Work required
- MSW preferred
- 2-5 years experience in a Long Term Care or Assisted living setting preferred
- Experience working with vulnerable geriatric population
The primary responsibilities of this key position includes:
- Facilitates the social and psychological well-being of residents and their families. Effectively communicates needs, concerns, or problems, both written and verbal, to improve the quality of resident care. Informs Independent Living Clinical Leadership and/or Administrator of real, perceived, or potential conflicts.
- Provides admission and ongoing Social Service needs assessments to independent and assisted living residents.
- Coordinates necessary internal and external social service programs to resident/family. Monitors external groups who provide services within the facility.
- Participates in Interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Documents all aspects of social services to all residents, ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, local, and facility regulations pertaining to Social Services.
- Participates in education opportunities such as in-service classes, on-the-job training programs, workshops, seminars, etc., as approved and/or required to meet continuing education requirements.
