The UC Santa Cruz Financial Aid and Scholarship Office assist more than 12,000 students a year, and we strive to deliver high quality service to students and their families. Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Associate Director manages the application analysis, eligibility determination and aid awarding for all student financial assistance programs administered by the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office including scholarship, grant, loan, and work-study. The incumbent also oversees management of our counseling area, ensuring prompt and compassionate service to individuals who contact the office for assistance. The Associate Director is responsible for managing outreach efforts to students and families, requiring effective management of the web, publications, social media, and in-person presentations.
The Associate Director is responsible for leading and supporting a professional, efficient, and service oriented operation that provides a full range of financial aid services to parents, students, and staff at UCSC. This position requires demonstrated excellent leadership, management, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and team building skills.
