FULL-TIME DIRECT MAIL SALES SPECIALIST
The Oklahoman Direct has a vacancy for a sales specialist responsible for securing new direct mail and printing business, reestablishing past business and securing business from our competition. The person we hire will prospect for new clients, qualify leads through needs analysis and develop relationships while representing a variety of print and direct mail products. Naturally this individual will need superior networking abilities as well as a proven ability to achieve goals and drive for results. Exemplary interpersonal skills, a high ability to influence others and strong listening skills are all key to success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Increase Oklahoman Direct revenue through management and development of direct mail accounts through new business efforts, reestablishment of past business and secure business from our competition.
- Retain and grow revenue, grow account share
- Meet sales budget requirements
- Develop business plans to maximize profitability and attain sales goals
- Execute prospecting calls by phone and in person, conduct sales presentation via lap top or tablet
- Conduct sales needs analysis and develop customer specific strategies
- Coordinate customer needs related to print and direct mail efforts; educate customers on effectiveness of direct mail and related delivery efforts, introduce customers to new products that match business needs
- Sell advertising space in Direct Marketing division publications.
- Assess competitor’s strategy and neutralize with competitive counter strategy
- Develop and maintain proper account billing and credit records, and perform associated administrative functions.
- Performs other related work as required.
The successful candidate will possess a self-driven entrepreneurial edge, have experience working with both small and large customers in a sales environment, possess a confident personality suitable for handling cold calls and account management, have excellent presentation, organization, verbal and written communication skills and subscribe to a high work and business ethic and be extremely self-motivated. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
