Children's Librarian
Are you the person your friends with children come to when they need a creative and engaging story time, activity or book suggestion? Do you love kids and all their goofy and amazing questions? Do you get special satisfaction knowing that you were able to connect and engage with a child in a way that has just provided them with a new tool, skill, or question that can mold and shape their lives? Do you believe in delivering super customer service and providing that to everyone? Even to our smallest and tiniest readers?
If so, then we would love to meet you! It's possible you just might be our next Children's Librarian. The Floyd County Library is seeking someone who loves all kids and is filled with "out the box" thinking ideas on programs that will engage, support and nurture our youngest readers. Under the direction of the Public Services Leader, this person will be responsible for implementing and creating programs, outreach, book advisory and other library duties for our stellar children's department.
If you love kids and are a detail-oriented self-starter who enjoys working in a supportive and patron-focused environment, we encourage you to join our team. Our mission is to support the growth and creativity of an engaged, informed, and connected community and we seek to wow patrons with the level of customer service that we provide.
