Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
At Memorial, we've found that providing great patient care starts with providing a supportive, positive team environment, and our Behavioral Health team provides just that. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at Memorial, you would work with a team that not only supports you but also provides opportunities for learning and professional growth. As a teaching hospital affiliated with Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, these aspects are built into our nature.
With a solid foundation, you're prepared to provide the highest level of care to patients through the evidence based model of practice. At our busy clinic, the LCSW will need to remain flexible, calm and organized throughout the day and exercise strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize with a high level of professionalism.
In this role, you would partner with a multi-disciplinary treatment team that takes a holistic approach to patient care. Additionally, you would consult with the patient and care provider regarding treatment options and preferences, and coordinate the treatment plan including referrals to other behavioral health and/or community resources as necessary.
As an LCSW with Memorial, you would meet with patients for one hour appointments for initial assessments and follow-up appointments for 30 minutes. You would administer screening tools such as the Patient Health Questionnaire - 9 (PHQ-9) and General Anxiety Disorder -7 (GAD-7) to track improvement and adjust treatment as needed. Additionally, you would actively work with patients in crisis to develop a safety plan and ensure that the patient is aware of all local emergency and crisis resources available.
