King County Records and Licensing Services is looking for a Fiscal Specialist 3 to join our dynamic team! This position will give you the opportunity to showcase your knowledge in a variety of areas, including; workflow processing, accounting reconciliations, coding and maintaining data. Scope of Job Duties: To be considered for this opportunity, you must at a minimum demonstrate skill and ability to:- Organize, oversee, establish, track, code and maintain data sources, such as contracts, budgets, payroll, legal documents and other financial, accounting and fiscal records;
- Determine accounting inconsistencies and errors; prepare corrections and verify accuracy of accounting reconciliations, including Oracle EBS data and then compare discrepancies;
- Research and summarize specialized and technical information from varied sources using spreadsheets and customized database applications;
- Perform regular audits and reviews of fund and account codes; review system data and reports to ensure accuracy and integrity of data as it relates to the recording of documents;
- Communicate established policies, procedures, codes, regulations and other relevant information to all internal and external stakeholders, on the phone, in writing and in person, while handing sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
- Have experience with independent financial and cost accounting support work;
- Showcase knowledge of procedures, policies, rules and practices affecting the development, maintenance and control of budgeting and accounting systems, and the practices of financial and statistical record keeping;
- Are proficient in the use the Microsoft Office including higher level skill in performing financial transactions using Microsoft Excel in your daily work;
- Be comfortable using enterprise resource programs such as Oracle EBS, JD Edwards or SAP to perform daily accounting transactions;
- Thrive independently and also be willing to work collaboratively as part of a team to build relationships with your peers, consultants and contractors while using conflict resolution techniques when needed;
- Manage and prioritize a high volume of diverse assignments and multiple competing tasks with a strong attention to detail;
- Be comfortable in a change environment and be excited to learn new skills and implement new processes to continuously improve services.

Sick Leave is accumulated at the rate of one day per month. There is no restriction on the amount of sick leave that can be accumulated and carried over to subsequent years. At retirement an employee will be paid 35% of their unused, accumulated sick leave. Non-represented employees and employees in certain bargaining units will receive this benefit as a payment to a VEBA account, which pays for post-retirement health benefits on a pre-tax basis.
