Transit Mobility Finance Assistant - SEP Associate III
- Summary
King County Metro Transit is searching for a detailed oriented professional who loves mathematics and enjoys working in Excel. The primary focus of this position will be to support the Business & Market Innovation group in Metro to provide data entry, review documents, create invoices and run standard reports. There is a strong emphasis on being detail oriented as well as providing internal customer service. This position is within the King County Supported Employment Program (SEP), so applicants must be eligible for the SEP and also meet the primary responsibilities of the position.
- Job Duties

- Provide data entry in Excel, SharePoint and other database systems
- Research, navigate and run standard reports in Oracle Financial database system
- Create invoices by calculating totals using excel formulas
- Fill out template documents in Word & Excel
- Attend team meetings (remotely and in person)
- Look up information in a database or Excel spreadsheet
- Digital filing using a naming convention with dates, numbers and names
- Emailing internal and external customers using (template based emails)
- Communicate with work team, supervisor and internal customer by phone and email
- Organize digital files by alpha/numeric order

Minimum Qualifications: The recruitment for this position is open to all qualified applicants who are active clients of Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA), and currently receive and will maintain long-term employment support from a County-contracted Employment Service Provider.
Technical Skills- Proficient in Microsoft Word Office Suite/Product
- Intermediate Excel skills that include the ability to use formulas to calculate totals, answer questions and notice discrepancies
- Experience with digital filing
- Ability to subtract, add and understanding numerical values/ranges
- Ability to learn to research, navigate and run reports in Oracle Financial Database system
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and co-worker
- Ability to read English
- Ability to read requests or instructions in email and then complete a task
- Ability to sort and match letters, numbers, names, items and addresses
- Ability to rename and digital file documents in the correct folder
- Ability to complete data entry and digital filing a high level of accuracy
- Ability to follow directions, stay focused and perform repetitive work
- Ability to recognize patterns, errors and becoming familiar with vendor account data ranges
- Ability to handle confidential material
- Ability to follow a schedule
- Ability to work from home with remote support from team and supervisor using Skype and Microsoft Teams phone/video calls

TEMPORARY TELECOMMUTING REQUIREMENT
The work associated with this position will be performed remotely, at least through January 8, 2021 in compliance with King County’s telecommuting mandate. It is possible that the work will be primarily performed remotely on an ongoing basis after January 8, 2021. Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Employees must reside in WA state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. There will be situations where the employee is required to report to a County worksite. Please note that when an employee conducts work that is likely to bring them in contact with another individual, safety precautions are required by the department in alignment with the Public Health Directive from the Seattle & King County Public Health Officer.

Work Schedule
This position is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime pay. Work schedule is normally Monday through Friday, 20-hour work week. Variations may be required depending on the demands and needs of the work.
