Eviction & Foreclosure Prevention Specialist: Join one of the leading nonprofit affordable housing organizations in providing services in eviction & foreclosure prevention. Coordinate assistance programs, educate, and lead outreach to the community. Previous experience in banking, real estate, housing counseling, or affordable housing programs preferred.

Organizational Title: Eviction & Foreclosure Prevention Program Coordinator
Reports to: Assistant Director / Program Director
Full time position: Estimated hours at 40 hours per week. Job will require flexibility and attendance at evening or weekend activities. *May require remote working due to COVID-19.
Prerequisites: Experience in affordable housing, housing counseling, real estate, banking, or mortgage lending is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel required. Administrative skills in writing and reporting, proficiency in interpersonal communication, and the ability to develop and monitor file systems are all required. Duties and Assignments:
Work closely with the Program Director to coordinate and deliver the Homes on the Hill Eviction and Foreclosure Prevention program (HEFPP).
Coordinate and deliver eviction and foreclosure prevention workshops (may be conducted virtually via Zoom). Schedule workshops, participants and speakers.
Provide program information to the general public. Answer phone calls / emails, schedule clients for appointments, and provide referral information.
-Promote HOTH and HOTH programs, including HEFPP, on social media platforms.
-Represent HOTH at community events and / or virtual meetings.
-Assist other staff as needed. Other duties as assigned.
*Successful applicants, after becoming employed and completing extensive training, may be required to pass a certification exam by August 1, 2021, covering competency in the following areas: financial management, property maintenance, responsibilities of homeownership and tenancy, fair housing laws and requirements, housing affordability, and the avoidance of eviction and mortgage default.
