Assistant Administrator Position
Georgia Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Dermatology, a private Dermatology practice with a strong reputation throughout Northeast Georgia, is looking to add an Assistant Administrator to their successful family oriented team in the Athens, Georgia area. We are a full service dermatology practice offering clinical dermatology, cosmetic procedures and Mohs surgical treatments. Our Staff includes one of Northeast Georgia's only Fellowship Trained Mohs Surgeon & Board Certified Aesthetic Dermatologist, a Board certified Dermatologist, a Pathologist, five Physician Assistants, and a staff of 50 support employees. Athens, Georgia is located northeast of Atlanta (less than an hour's drive) and is the home of The University of Georgia. A family friendly city, Athens is also conveniently located within an hour's drive of the north Georgia mountains and approximately 3 hours from the sandy beaches of Georgia and South Carolina.
Job Summary: The Assistant Administrator will be responsible for assisting the Administrator in the total practice management of a multi-location, multi-provider dermatology practice. Will assist in the planning, coordinating, directing and supervising of the medical practice.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing the daily front desk and back office operations
- Assist in managing staff schedules
- Assist in the hiring, orientation, development and evaluation of staff
- Assist in accounts payable and staff payroll
- Assist in implementing and overseeing practice policies, procedures and objectives and ensuring their adequate execution and compliance
- Assist in preparing and maintaining management reports necessary to carry out the functions of the practice
Position Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess the following competencies and attributes:
- Person of high moral and ethical character
- 4 year degree from an accredited college in business, healthcare or a related field
- 3+ years of healthcare management experience
- Knowledge of electronic billing process and insurance preferred
- Willingness to work closely with the current Administrator
- Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player
- Excellent communication and relationship skills
- Detailed oriented
- Must have professional appearance and behavior
- Strong work ethic; committed to delivering the best medical and customer service experience; willing to go the extra mile for both co-workers and patients
- Proficient in Quickbooks and all Microsoft Office products
