The Emergency Radiology section of Baylor College of Medicine Radiology Department in Houston, TX is recruiting for a faculty member.
The available ER Radiology faculty position has a schedule of 7 consecutive night shifts followed by 14 consecutive days off. The position is responsible for covering the overnight radiology studies at a large level 1 trauma center in the Texas Medical Center. The faculty position also remotely covers the radiology studies of 3 community hospital emergency centers in the Houston area.
The Emergency Radiology faculty member provides feedback and education to overnight Baylor radiology residents who assist in covering the Level 1 Trauma Center. The ER Radiology faculty member has the option to participate in departmental lectures, case review sessions, and research projects.
Candidates must possess an MD or DO (or equivalent) degree, be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology, and meet the requirements for licensure in the state of Texas. Candidates must have strong clinical skills with ability to interpret general and advanced emergency radiology studies. Willingness to interpret emergent neuroradiology studies is a plus, but is not required.
