Job Overview
Regional Brand Managers manage multiple Relationship Managers ensuring the sales, service, and operational functions of the Credit Union are being performed efficiently and within guidelines. Regional Brand Managers coordinate marketing initiatives around assigned branches to increase memberships and direct strategic goals and staff development/training within assigned retail branch outlets.
Major Responsibilities
- Create, manage, and execute all activities regarding the retail/service aspect of the assigned branches.
- Ensures a sales environment that builds strong member relationships and retention; establishes and ensures that sales plans are developed and implemented; motivates and coaches staff to sell credit union products and services to consistently meet goals.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and training for employee development and advancement and to ensure established Service Standards and production goals are met or exceeded.
- Directs proper recognition and manages disciplinary actions in accordance with credit union policy and procedures; conducts meetings to inform employees of changes to policies and procedures; administers coaching and performance review sessions
- Develops, coaches, and motivates regional staff to be productive and effective employees both in sales and service operations.
- Facilitates sales training workshops and clinics.
- Ensures branch personnel deliver the highest quality of service to both internal and external members fulfilling established Service Standards; ensure teams consistently maintain a service environment that build strong member relationships and retention.
- Develops and maintain relationships within the community to increase member traffic and production. Ensures Relationship Managers in the regional locations are conducting hospitality calls to nearby businesses, organizations, schools, etc.
- To work with the VP of Service & Solutions, Director of Branch Operations, Director of Brand, and Director of E Services to establish new branch standards that must be adhered to within the branch network.
- For all regional branches ensures accuracy and compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures to include Bank Secrecy Act, Anti Money Laundering, OFAC, CIP, Identity Theft, Incident Response, etc.
Position Requirements
- Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field). Degree in business administration, management, or related is desired. Three years to five years of similar or related experience
- Minimum of (3) years’ experience in management - preferably in financial institution field
- A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.
- Work may involve motivating, influencing or training others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. Thorough knowledge of financial regulations, compliance rules, and policies and procedures. Possess good analytical abilities to make decisions and resolve problems. Possess organization and time management skills
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills to supervise staff and communicate effectively with the members
- Must be able to operate office equipment and related software programs and calculator with average speed and accuracy
- Must have a valid drivers license and able to commute to various branch locations
- Physical qualifications include standing or sitting at a computer for extended periods of time and the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
